Finding the correct frame size for your glasses

At Designer Glasses, eyewear can be filtered by style and shape to create a shortlist. Size is another key point when deciding on frames and getting this right will ensure that the frames you choose look and fit correctly.

Depending on the brand and style of frame, you will be asked to ‘Choose your eye size and bridge’ when ordering online. This will be in the format: Lens width (mm) X Bridge width (mm).

If you have existing glasses, check your current frame sizes by looking for the printed measurements (Usually found on the arm or bridge).

By calculating the frame width, which will be approx. (2x Lens width) + Bridge width, you will get an indicator as to whether a frame will be too wide or too narrow. A tolerance of 1cm either way is normally acceptable. Remember, the measurements do not need to be exactly the same, but the closer they are to your existing ‘favourite’ glasses, the more your new ones will look similar on your face.
