As part of the ongoing regulations for processors to comply by Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) practices, Braintree have now implemented 3DSecure2 (3DS2) which is the revised security and authentication protocol for card-not-present (CNP) online transactions.
3DS2 will help to prevent fraudulent transactions and enhance security for online payments whilst delivering a more seamless and frictionless payment experience for customers, especially for those using mobile smartphones.
NOTE: With the increased rollout of 3DS2, if your payment is declined on our website, it may be because you have not enabled multi factor authentication (MFA) with your payment card provider.
